Facility staff do not prevent children from hitting other children in care

On 6/28/2023 at 11:45am Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) V. Wheatley met with Principal Champ regarding the above allegation. LPA was guided on a tour of the entire preschool. LPA observed the children properly supervised by staff. LPA observed 47 children eating lunch and preparing for naptime.

The staff explained that a communication platform ClassDoJo is used to communicate with parents and guardians regarding all issues. LPA observed logs in which staff are keeping records of the children's behavior. LPA interviewed the director and staff regarding the allegation. LPA interviewed witnesses who admitted that day care children are hitting other children.

On 4/27/2023, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) V. Wheatley met with Lead Teacher Pia Robinson in the absence of the principal and informed the purpose of the inspection. LPA observed a total of 10 children on the premises with four teachers supervising. LPA was informed the Intern Principal Ms. Collier was
unavailable.
