25 | On November 27, 2023, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Monique Ayala and Staicy Perry conducted an unannounced Required 3 Year inspection at the above facility. A COVID-19 risk assessment was conducted prior to entering the facility. Upon arrival LPAs were greeted by licensee, Leticia Gutierrez who guided LPAs on a tour of the facility. LPA observed 4 children in care with licensee and her assistant Jazmin Garcia. Per licensee there are 10 children enrolled. Hours of operation are Monday through Friday, 6AM to 5:30PM. Inspection was conducted in Spanish.
This is a single-story house with 3 bedrooms and 1.5 bathroom, laundry area with chemicals and cleaning compounds inaccessible to children in care, living room, family room, dining room, kitchen, completely fenced rear yard and front yard. There is back house located on the premises where all adults living there are fingerprint cleared.
The day care takes place in bedroom #1, living room, dining room, hallway bathroom, front yard. The home is clean, orderly, comfortable, and well ventilated.
Licensee's poisons, detergent, cleaning compounds, medications and other items which could pose a danger to child are stored where they are inaccessible to children. LPA observed working smoke detector and Carbon Monoxide, fully charged fire extinguisher, and working telephone.
There are several age-appropriate toys and a first aid kit on the premises. Per the licensee, there are no firearms on the premises. Licensee has current First Aid and CPR, expires 06/10/25.
LPA reviewed children files; files were found to be complete. LPA reviewed staff files; files were found to be complete. Children and staff names were documented on LIC811 (confidential page).
