On 7/27/2023 Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Dalicia Adkins conducted a case management visit and met with administrator Jerry Hale, Rita. LPA was guided on a tour of the facility, LPA observed six teachers supervising twenty five children. At 12:30 PM LPA observed two dead water bugs in the staff bathroom. One water bug on the floor in between the toilet and sink. The other water bug observed in the on the shower floor. LPA confirmed with administrator of two dead water bugs in the staff bathroom. At 12:34 PM removed water bugs administrator stated when the facility is treated for pest, insects come out and die on the floor. Administrator provided LPA with a copy of pest services by Stanley Pest Control conducted on 7/26/2023. LPA Adkins provided technical assistant; LPA discussed with administrator to put a plan in place ensure that dead pest are not found on premises. Administrator agreed to conduct walk through the facility after pest treatments to look for and dispose of dead insects and other pest after a pest treatment.. LPA discussed regulation 101238 Buildings and Grounds (a) The child care center shall be clean, safe, sanitary and in good repair at all times to ensure the safety and well-being of children, employees and visitors. (1) The licensee shall take measures to keep the center free of flies, other insects, and rodents. LPA and Licensee discussed the Community Care Licensing website www.ccld.ca.gov which will provide access to Provider Information Notices (PINs), Quarterly and Resources.
