25 | On 5/19/2022 Licensing Program Analysts (LPA), Loyce Phillips conducted an unannounced Annual Required Inspection and was met by Licensee, Maria Nagy. LPA observed 6 children in care today, with 2 assistant and Licensee adult son. All adults have a criminal record clearance. Days and hours of operation are Monday through Friday 7:00am to 5:30pm.
LPA toured the home inside and outside. This is a 3 bedroom, 3 bathroom home with living room, kitchen, dining area, family room (main day care room), enclosed patio and detached garage. The home also has a guest house on the right side of the home. The guest house is separate from the main house. The guest house is 1 bedroom with living room, dining area, small kitchen area and a bathroom. The adults that live in the guest house have criminal record clearances.
The areas that are accessible to children: Living room, dining area, family room, bathroom #3 and the front yard is used for outdoor activities.
The areas that are off limits to children: Bedrooms #1, #2, #3, bathroom #1, #2, kitchen, detached garage, enclosed patio back yard and the guest house. Areas made inaccessible by safety gates.
The home does have a firearm. The firearm is kept in a fingerprint access storage box, located in bedroom #2. The ammunition is stored in key lock storage unit located in the garage. Declaration on file. No poisons were observed during the inspection. Detergents, cleaning compounds, medication and other hazardous items are made inaccessible to children.
There is a full charged fire extinguisher located in the main day care room. The facility has a working smoke detectors and carbon monoxide detector, inside the home. The facility has adequate heating and ventilation for safety and comfort. There are no stairs in the home. Safe toys and play equipment are observed.
