32 | Outdoor equipment was inspected for safety, good repair, age appropriateness, and cushioning material that could absorb a fall. The outdoor activity space is maintained in a safe condition, free of hazards, and inaccessible to bodies of water. LPAs observed adequate shade, fencing and availability for outdoor drinking water.
LPAs reviewed 3 children’s records for completeness. LPAs did not review staff records during the inspection due to the staff records being stored at the administrative office. LPA Ayala will review staff records on a later date. There is at least one person trained in Pediatric First Aid/CPR that was present during today’s inspection.
The children’s roster was reviewed and is current. Sign-in and sign-out sheets were reviewed. The disaster drill log was available, and is conducted on a monthly basis.
Incidental Medical Services (IMS) policy was discussed. For IMS information see Evaluator Manual - Regulation Interpretations and Procedures for Child Care Centers Sections 101173 and 101226. When any IMS is provided, an updated Plan of Operation that includes IMS must be submitted to the Department. The following information regarding ADA was provided: U.S. Department of Justice (USDOJ) toll-free ADA Information Line at (800) 514-0301 (voice)/ (800) 514-0383 (TTY) and link to publication: Commonly Asked Questions about Child Care Centers and the ADA, available at: http://www.ada.gov/childqanda.htm.

LPA Ayala also advised the Lead Teacher of the Mandated Reporter Child Care Training requirement that went into effect on January 1, 2018, and is available at: www.mandatedreporterca.com.
There were no deficiencies cited during today’s inspection. The Notice of Site Visit (LIC 9213) must remain posed for 30 days during the hours of operation after each site visit by a licensing representative. Failure to maintain posting as required will result in a civil penalty of $100.00.
An exit interview was conducted and a copy of this report was provided to the Lead Teacher.
