25 | On 01/10/2020, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Karren Starks made an unannounced visit for the purpose of conducting an Annual Inspection. LPA met with and toured the facility with the Director, Phung Pham. LPA observed 12 children in care with proper teacher/child ratios and supervision being observed
Furniture and equipment was inspected for age appropriateness and good repair. Telephone service, heating, lighting and ventilation were evaluated. Storage for children's belongings, isolation area was inspected. Napping equipment was observed and found to be in good condition. Trash cans with tight lids, First Aid supplies, smoke detectors; carbon monoxide/fire extinguishers were observed. A review of medication policy, including administering, labeling, storage, and records was made. Per director the facility current serve a child with asthma, inhaler on site as needed. Sign in/out sheet procedures were reviewed. Menu was properly posted with all others posting requirements. All food items and snacks are delivered daily to the facility from central kitchen. Water is accessible indoor and outdoor by use of water dispenser with cups, there is also a water fountain outdoors. Operable sinks and toilets were observed with a sufficient supply of soap, toilet paper and paper towels. Outdoor equipment was inspected for safety, cushioning material, good repair and age appropriateness. Required shade, drinking water and fencing were inspected. Director has current CPR/1st Aid(exp. 08/2021) Staff records kept off-site. Children's records were reviewed and found to be complete. The facility roster was up to date and emergency disaster drills are conducted on a monthly basis. Emergency disaster plan is updated and reflected to the current year.
This facility provides Incidental Medical Services – IMS. LPA reviewed storage of medication and equipment/supplies.
