On 02/05/2020 at 1:47 p.m., Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Escobedo conducted an unannounced case management visit to clear deficiencies. LPA was met by Licensees-Jesse and Glenda Howard. No children were in care at the time of this visit.

LPA Escobedo toured the home and verified that the pool was self-closing and is self-latching. LPA Escobedo also observed the heater in the children's area to be screened to prevent access by children. LPA Escobedo cleared the Plan of Correction (POC). LPA Escobedo generated and provided Licensees with a POC letter regarding these deficiencies.

LPA Escobedo reviewed the records for 5 children and verified that the Blue Immunization Record PM 286 was completed. LPA Escobedo generated and provided Licensees with a POC letter for this deficiency.

Licensees state that they have not completed the Mandated Reporter Training, as they both were ill and require additional time to complete this training. LPA Escobedo informed Licensees that any staff or volunteers will require the Mandated Reporter for Suspected Child Abuse. Licensees and the assistant will complete and provide the Regional Office with a copy of the mandated reporter certificates by 02/28/2020. Licensees state that they would like to change the number of children on their license to 14 vs. 12. LPA Escobedo informed Licensees that the regional office will request that a fire clearance be scheduled. LPA Escobedo provided Licensees with a copy of the update regarding SB265 Chapter 18 Statutes of 1996 FCCH Capacity Increases.

An exit interview was conducted with Licensees. A copy of this report and Notice of Site Visit was provided to Licensees.
