Licensing Program Analyst (LPA), V. Wheatley conducted a annual required inspection and met with the licensee N. Quaid and N. Khan at 4:15PM. The parents enter through the side and rear of the home. LPA did not observe any day care children. The licensees state there are no day care children enrolled at this time. The living room, dining room and bedrooms are off limits.

LPA inspected the areas of the child care which are two attached rooms with sliding doors. One room has a bathroom and the other room has a fireplace. The room with the fireplace has been remodeled. The fireplace is inaccessible. LPA observed a working smoke detector, carbon monoxide detector, charged 2A10BC fire extinguisher and working telephone. The electrical outlets are covered and inaccessible. There are age appropriate toys, napping mats and a first aid kit on the premises. The home has central heating and air conditioning. Licensee has mats and play pens for napping. All detergents, cleaning supplies, medications and sharp objects are inaccessible. The cabinets in the day care room are for children's supplies. The licensees have proof of current CPR and first aid which expires July 2020. Licensee was reminded that children must be supervised at all times. Per the licensee, there are no firearms on the premises.

LPA observed the alarm on the sliding door which leads to the backyard. The alarm has a sounding device that is working. LPA observed two gates on the side of the home. The sign is on the gate stating to keep the gate closed.

LPA discussed discipline policies, personal rights, civil penalties and appeal rights. In addition, licensee was reminded that all adults 18 and over living or working in the home and visiting on a frequent basis must be fingerprint cleared prior to being on the premises. A civil penalty will be assessed for this violation.

LPA inspected the fenced backyard. LPA observed a play structure with cushion underneath the structure. There are age appropriate toys and a sand box. LPA observed a working sink outside. There are no pets and no bodies of water on the premises. Licensee was reminded that children are to be supervised inside and outside of the home.

There are no records to review. Immunization records are to be obtained for day care children prior to a child being left with provider. Immunization records shall be kept on blue cards from the local health department. The licensee is obtaining new laws and information through the Child Care Quarterly Updates and Title 22 Regulations at the department's website www.ccld.ca.gov Licensee is aware of the Lead Paint Flyer that is provided to the parents. Licensee is aware of SafeSleep and has the handout.

The licensee has the required documents posted for parents to view. Children's roster will be accessible.

LPA did not observe any violations according to Title 22 Regulations.
