Children are inspected for illnesses as they arrive. A review of medication policy indicated that prescription medication is administered only with parent's written permission. The Director, Assistant Director or Teacher administers medication and documents the dosage, date and time into each child file and on their individual daily sheet.

Prescribed medication is brought and taken home by the parent daily. Medication is properly labeled and stored in its original container. The medicines are stored in the top cabinet above the cubbies making it inaccessible to children. There is a separate area for isolation and care of ill children at the director's desk area.

There is a clean, fully equipped kitchen with refrigerator, freezer, stove and microwave oven, dish washer and a combination washer/dryer. The facility provides breakfast, morning snack, lunch and two afternoon snacks. Menus are posted in the office, kitchen and each classroom, each classroom has there own snack storage. Allergy lists are posted in the classroom. LPA observed an appropriate amount of food and snacks. The chemicals are kept separate from the food.
