On 11/08/2023 at 10:00AM, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Andrew Alemoh met with Director Amy Curtis for the purpose to deliver the finding of the above allegations. Upon arrival, LPA observed 40 preschool age, and 8 infants/toddlers children’s 9 staff.

The investigation consisted of interviews with the director, assistant director, and other complaint relevant parties. The investigation revealed the following: two bathrooms, one in the office and the Monkey RM were unavailable to be used and made inaccessible to day care children and staff by being locked until they were fixed. The septic tanks in the facility needed time to reduce the pileage and to be able to flush. Directors and children statement collaborated in that the facility was using two additional temporarily separate bathrooms by the kitchen area for the day care children, and staff to use until the unavailable bathrooms were fixed. Statements revealed the unavailable bathrooms were able to flush as of August 21st 2023.

Based on the evidence obtained, the allegation of licensee does not ensure facility is in good repair is unsubstantiated.

The investigation consisted of interviews with the director, assistant director, and other complaint relevant parties. The investigation revealed the following: day care children are provided with a comfortable room temperature inside the facility. The facility thermostat is set at a temperature of 68-75 degrees. The AC unit turns on automatically when the facility temperatures reach over 75 degrees Fahrenheit. Director, staff, and other relevant complaint parties statements collaborated in that there are multiple fans in the classrooms for the children to keep cool during the hot days, as well as the AC turning on automatically when the temperature inside the facility gets hot to help cool down the inside of the facility. Based on the evidence obtained, the allegation of staff does not provide a comfortable room temperature for day care children is unsubstantiated.

The investigation consisted of interviews with the director, assistant director, and other complaint relevant parties. The investigation revealed the following: on the days of August 9th and August 10th of 2023 there were 7 staff members present in the morning. Staff time sheets were reviewed and stated that the two facility directors arrive at the facility by 6AM followed by five staff members from the times of: 7:30AM, 8:30AM, 9AM, 9:30AM, and 10:00AM. Directors, staff, and other relevant complaint party statements collaborated in that there would be 2 or more staff/teachers present in the classrooms providing care for and supervision to the day care children. Based on the evidence obtained, the allegation of out of ratio is unsubstantiated.

An exit interview was conducted, a copy of this report was provided along with the appeal rights.
