25 | On 06/27/19 at 11:15 AM Licensing Program Analysts (LPAs) Christopher Garlington and Angelica Ramirez met with Licensee, Smadar Gubani for the purpose of an inspection as agreed upon at a recent supervisory meeting. Upon arrival LPAs observed 10 children being supervised by licensee. Also present is licensee's two assistants. All adults were fingerprinted and associated to the facility. LPAs toured and inspected facility inside and out. Hours of operation are from 8:00 am to 4:30 pm, Monday through Friday.
This is a one story, three bedroom, two bathroom home with kitchen/dining, living room, laundry, and a detached garage. There is no pool, spa or other bodies of water on the premises. The home has a fireplace that is barricaded and located in the living room. The main care area is in the living room and the converted garage (detached) and one bathroom located in the home. The remainder of the home is off limits to the children.
LPA Ramirez observed age appropriate toys, learning materials, games and activities for children in care. All furniture was found in good repair, clean, and without hazards. The kitchen is inaccessible to children in care. The facility is inspected inside and outside for safety, comfort, cleanliness, telephone service, heating and ventilation, inaccessibility to poisons, detergents/cleaning compounds (in laundry cabinets), and hazardous items (sharp knives in kitchen only) that can pose a danger to children.
Inspection of the outdoor play area is conducted, there is a gate surrounding the backyard. Per licensee, there are no weapons or firearms of any kind in the facility currently. LPAs did not observe any weapons. Children nap in cots in the main care area. The required fire extinguisher (2A10BC) and smoke detectors are in operable condition. A Carbon Monoxide detector was observed, tested and operable. CPR/First Aid expire 5/20/21. |
