On 01/20/2022 @ 10:00 AM, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Miriam Cohen conducted an unannounced complaint visit for the purpose of notifying the preschool director concerning the above-mentioned allegations and to perform an investigation. Further witnesses and documentation will be needed to conclude the investigation.
On 04/01/2022 @ 9:15 AM, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Miriam Cohen conducted an unannounced visit and met and informed preschool director, Angelica Oden, of the reason for the visit: Delivery of report findings against the alleged complaints. After conducting a visual observation and multiple interviews with four children, four parents of children currently enrolled, and three staff members with written declarations, the following conclusion have been reached: Unsubstantiated on all accounts
Unsubstantiated - A finding that the complaint is unsubstantiated means that although the allegations may have happened or are valid, there is not a preponderance of the evidence to prove that the alleged violations occurred. CONTINUATION ON NEXT PAGE

1) Interviews – verbal statements with written declaration from three staff members stated that the school follows proper COVID 19 protocol, operate within ratio, does not practice co-mingling, uses changing table when appropriate, and maintains the cleanliness of the school grounds by removing evidence of animal feces in the play yard as well as presence of insects inside the classroom during school hours.

2) Interviews – verbal statements from four students currently enrolled in the above school declared that the school follows proper COVID 19 protocol, does not practice co-mingling, and maintains the cleanliness of the school grounds (indoor and outdoor).

3) Interviews – verbal statements from four parents of children currently enrolled stated that the preschool adheres to proper COVID 19 protocol, does not endorse co-mingling, and advocates the cleanliness of the school property (inside and outside).

The investigation regarding the above allegations has been completed. No deficiencies will be issued.
