25 | On 8/31//2022 Program Analyst (LPA), Judy Laureano conducted an unannounced Annual Required Inspection and was met by Andrea Correa. Inspection was conducted in Spanish.
Days and hours of operation are 7:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., Monday through Friday. Currently applicant cares for children ages 3 months to 5 years of age. Licensee confirmed that she does not provide overnight care or weekend care.
LPA toured the home inside and outside and a census was taken; 6 children were present with assistant and licensee. Licensee confirmed that the bedroom 1/infant room and bedroom 2/toddler room located in the first floor have been designated for the day care. Applicant confirmed children nap and eat in the bedroom 1/infant room and bedroom 2/toddler room or outside if weather permits. The bathroom that children use is located across the bedroom 1/infant room. The following areas are currently OFF LIMITS: the living room, dining room, kitchen and the second floor that include, 3 bedrooms, living room and 1 bathroom. Garage and laundry room located in the back yard, locked during hours of operations are OFF LIMITS to the children in care.
LPA observed a safety gate in the bottom of the staircase making the second floor inaccessible to the children in care. A second safety gate was observed at the end of the living room making the living room, dining room and kitchen inaccessible to the children in care.
There is no swimming pool or other bodies of water on the premises. There are no firearms or ammunition on the premises. No poisons were observed during the inspection. Detergents, cleaning compounds, medication and other hazardous items are made inaccessible; on the top shelf of the linen closet located in the hallway. Firs Aid Kit was observed in the bathroom located across the bedroom 1/infant room. |
