LPA observed 2 children's bathrooms. Bathroom 1 includes 2 urinals, 1 toilet, and 2 sinks. Bathroom 2 includes 3 toilets and 2 sinks. There are sufficient toilets and sinks to accommodate the facility’s capacity. Bathrooms were found to be clean.
Food is prepared and catered by Café Pan Americana. The facility serves morning and afternoon snacks. Food preparation area is located in the hallway and was inspected for safety, cleanliness and proper equipment. Menus are posted and allergy lists are posted in each classroom. The facility is nut-free and seed-free.
The outdoor play area is large and equipped with age-appropriate play equipment that is in safe condition. The surface of the outdoor activity space is maintained in safe condition and is free of hazards.
The 2A10:BC fire extinguishers are located on either end of the hallway. LPA observed smoke/carbon monoxide detectors throughout the facility. Facility was observed to be operating within the conditions, limitations, and capacity specified on the license.
LPA observed staff records to contain appropriate documentation of education credits. All staff are trained in CPR and Pediatric First Aid (expiration date 8/16/2023). LPA reviewed a sample of 10 children’s files and observed files were complete.
Administrator was reminded that all adults 18 and over, including employees and volunteers, must obtain a criminal record clearance or exemption, or transfer their existing clearance or exemption, prior to initial presence in a Child Care Center. A civil penalty of $100.00 minimum/day up to $500.00 maximum per day/per person will be assessed if this regulation is violated. Upon notification from the Department, the licensee will comply and act immediately to terminate the employment of, remove from the facility or bar from entering the facility for any person it is deemed necessary while the Department considers granting or denying an exemption.
Incidental Medical Services (IMS) are not currently being provided. Director is aware that an IMS plan is
