25 | Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Victoria Hunt conducted an unannounced annual random inspection at the above facility. LPA met with the lead teacher, Dapheney Smith and Lisa Fowler Assistant Administer . LPA inspected and toured the preschool facility in accordance to the facility sketch. During the time of this visit LPA observed 17 children in care and children were observed to be waking up from napping. There were a total of 5 teachers present during today's inspection. The facility operates from 8:00 am to 3:00 p.m. Monday through Friday.
Per, the licensee, there are no firearms or weapons on the premises. LPA did not observed bodies of water on the premises. Disinfectants, cleaning solutions, poisons and other items that are dangerous to children were observed to be stored in a locked cabinet in the kitchen during the time of this inspection. All disinfectants, cleaning solutions and poisons were found to be inaccessible to children.
In the classroom LPA observed furniture and equipment that was age appropriate and in good repair. There are age appropriate toys, games, and cubbies in which children child store their belongings. Educational/learning material was posted on the walls. Drinking dispensers were observed to be in the classroom, water is readily available to children.
Furniture and equipment were inspected for age appropriateness and are in good repair. The room inspected is clean and safe. Telephone service was verified and operational. Heating, lighting, and ventilation are adequate. LPA inspected the classroom, LPA observed that there are cubbies for which the children can keep their belongings. The cubbies were labeled with each child's name. LPA's observed age appropriate toys, art supplies in which the child can play with. Uncontaminated drinking water is readily available to children inside the classroom through water dispenser. This facility utilizes a water pitcher for outside in which the children play; drinking water available. |
