Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Andrew Alemoh conducted an unannounced annual random inspection at the above facility. LPA met with the Directors Joe and r . LPA inspected and toured the preschool facility in accordance to the facility sketch. During the time of this visit LPA observed 10 children in care and children were observed to be waking up from napping. There were a total of 3 teachers present during today's inspection. The facility operates from 7:45 am to 2:45 p.m. Monday through Friday.

Per, the licensee, there are no firearms or weapons on the premises. LPA did not observed bodies of water on the premises. Disinfectants, cleaning solutions, poisons and other items that are dangerous to children were observed to be stored in a locked cabinet in the kitchen during the time of this inspection. All disinfectants, cleaning solutions and poisons were found to be inaccessible to children.

In the classroom LPA observed furniture and equipment that was age appropriate and in good repair. There are age appropriate toys, games, and cubbies in which children child store their belongings. Educational/learning material was posted on the walls. Drinking dispensers were observed to be in the classroom, water is readily available to children.

Furniture and equipment were inspected for age appropriateness and are in good repair. The room inspected is clean and safe. Telephone service was verified and operational. Heating, lighting, and ventilation are adequate. LPA inspected the classroom, LPA observed that there are cubbies for which the children can keep their belongings. The cubbies were labeled with each child's name. LPA observed age appropriate toys, art supplies in which the child can play with. Uncontaminated drinking water is readily available to children inside the classroom through water dispenser. This facility utilizes a water pitcher for outside in which the children play; drinking water available.

Outdoor play equipment was inspected for health, safety, cushioning material, good repair and age appropriateness. LPA observed a play apparatus climber play structure with slides. The play apparatus was securely anchored to the ground underneath the play structure, LPA observed rubber foam matting material for cushioning. The area in which the play structure/apparatus was observed was free and clear of debris.

**Licensee informed to review updates/regulations for 2016/2017 on the department website. ; AB 1207 - all child care employees must complete mandated reporter training beginning January 1, 2018; AB 1387 - and AB 2236 process to request a formal review of deficiency and establishes an appeal process for civil penalties; SB 792 - requires all staff and volunteers to show proof of immunization against influenza, pertussis and measles, and TB clearance, beginning September 1, 2016; 2018 New Safe Sleep Regulations for infants and AB 2231 Effective July 1, 2017 - Civil Penalty Amount changes.

No deficiencies cited according to Title 22 Regulations. Exit Interview was conducted, and a copy of report read and provided to Children are inspected for illnesses as they arrive. A review of medication policy indicated that only prescription medication is administered with parent's written consent or permission. The staff and or designated teachers administer the medication. The director ensures that the medication is stored properly and is up to date and has not expired. Medication is properly labeled and stored in a lock box which was observed to be lock. There is a separate area for isolation and care of ill children in the director's office. There is a cots available for each ill child.

This facility provides Incidental Medical Services – IMS. LPA reviewed storage of medication and equipment/supplies, and reviewed children’s, personnel, and administrative records. The teacher’s and children ratios were observed and staff names recorded. Care and supervision was evaluated and it was determine that the basic needs of the children are being met and appropriate. Sign in and out sheets were reviewed. The parent board was reviewed and all of the required licensing forms were posted. Fire/earthquake drills current. Fire/Disaster drills are conducted at lease every month. Children's records and staff records were reviewed, and the records were complete. LPA verified at least one staff person present that has a current Pediatric CPR and First Aid training (exp 08/2020 ).

Children utilize restroom in the classroom, three toilets, three sinks and one stall. The restroom is in good repair and working condition.

There is a small kitchen in which snacks are prepared. The kitchen is equipped with a refrigerator, freezer, and microwave. The facility provides breakfast, lunch, and snacks. Menus are posted in the in the classroom. LPA observed an appropriate amount of food and snacks in each classroom. Allergy lists are posted in the kitchen on the refrigerator. Chemicals are kept separate from the food (kitchen). LPA did not observe any opened food, all food was wrapped and/or in its original containers.

This facility has ensured and establish measures to keep the facility free of flies and other insects or rodents. The food- preparation area is clean and free of hazards. Trash cans/storage containers were observed to have tight-fitting covers for solid waste.

There is an operating telephone in the Child Care Center. LPA observed fully charged and operational 4A60BC fire extinguisher located in the classrooms. Napping equipment was inspected and was observed to be in good, sanitary condition. Children bring their own sheet and the sheets are washed daily or as needed for children.

Cleaning solutions is inaccessible to children; all cleaning solutions were observed to be stored in cabinets that were locked by key.
