32 | The front and the back outdoor play area is fenced and free from defects or dangerous conditions. There are ample age-appropriate activities and games that are safe, clean and in good repair. The home has working telephone service and LPA confirmed the phone number is (310) 313-4601.
LPA Clayton observed a fully charged 4A:60BC Fire extinguisher, a 1A:10BC Fire extinguisher in the art studio, 2A:10BC Fire extinguisher outside, a working carbon monoxide/smoke detector combo and a working smoke detector.
There is a swimming pool with a wrought iron fence which is at least 5 feet high. The pool is completely fenced with self-latching gates. Per Licensee, the pool is only used during the summer, and there is a staff member with lifeguard certification on duty when the pool is in use.
There are no firearms or ammunition on the premises. Detergents, cleaning compounds, medication and other hazardous items are made inaccessible to children in care.
LPA reviewed 5 electronic children’s files and observed them to be in compliance as they contained current contact information for authorized representatives and/or relatives who can assume responsibility for the child, and authorization for medical treatment, signed Parent’s Rights and Personal Rights forms.
There are no children currently enrolled, and licensee does not have any staff. LPA Clayton provided licensee with the forms required for employees. LPA Clayton reviewed the records requirement for assistants regarding immunizations (MMR, Tdap, TB and Influenza). LPA Clayton reminded licensee that prior to provided care, all staff must have current Pediatric CPR/First Aid and Mandated Reporter training certificates, and that both are to be renewed every 2 years, per Health and Safety Codes and Title 22 Regulations for Child Care.
Incidental Medical Services (IMS) are not currently being provided. LPA Clayton provided Licensee with the IMS Plan Sample. Licensee is aware that an IMS plan is required to be submitted to the licensing office if they provide any of these services. LPA reminded Licensee of the Community Care Licensing website www.ccld.ca.gov which will provide access to Provider Information Notices (PINs), Quarterly Updates, COVID-19 Information and Resources, Mandated Reporter Training, Safe Sleep in Child Care, Lead Poisoning Facts, Forms and Regulations. |
