Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Denise Miranda met with Grizel Lopez, Associate Director to conduct a case management inspection for the purpose of modification the facility program by adding the toddler component attach to the Infant program. The facility is currently operating in two bungalows with the capacity of 24 infant age children. The facility is requesting to decrease the infant capacity to 16 children and adding the toddler component to serve 8 toddlers. The Fire clearance had approved and obtained for the infant/toddler option. Based on today measurement, the facility has sufficient indoor and outdoor space to accommodate 16 infant children with an attach toddler component serving 8 toddlers which bring the total of capacity of 24 children.The infant program classes are located at the two bungalows: Infant room (little Roos) will serve 16 full-day infant age children with 4 qualified staffs.
The toddler classroom (caterpillars) are located at the first bungalow. There will be two full-day session with the capacity of 8 toddlers with 3 qualified staffs.
The hours of operation are from: 7:00AM to 6:00 PM; Monday through Friday.

The Toddler classroom (Caterpillars) had 1 changing table with arm, 1 sink and one restroom with 1 toilet and 1 sink. The infant classroom (Little Roos) observed to have 2 changing tables with arms and twos sink.

About 8:10 AM, LPA with center staff toured the facility indoor and outdoor. The facility is serving hot and cold meals, breakfast, lunch and snack. Parent has the option to bring or buy from school the lunch. Food preparation area was clean. During this visit, the facility is clean and

orderly. LPA inspected furniture to be age appropriate. The napping equipment were in good condition. Center staff indicated, during rest time, children have an option to rest or participate in quiet activities set up in the classroom. Children’s belongings were stored separately. Isolation area located by the director's area at the first aide/isolation room.
LPA observed staff restroom located next to the conference room by the main office. Drinking water dispenser with cups is available and accessible to children indoor and outdoor. Serviced fire extinguishers, smoke detectors/carbon monoxide detectors were observed. The center had daily activity schedule and snack menu posted.
LPA observed outdoor space for infant/toddler. LPA observed the required shade for outdoor yard.
LPA reviewed and obtained the facility current/updated Personnel Record (LIC 500). LPA reviewed facility's sketch which matched the physical plant of the facility.
Director associated provided an updated copy of Parent Handbook. The facility was in compliance with Title 22 regulations during today's visit.
LPA obtained pictures of the outdoor area. Facility requested waiver to share the infant outdoor area with toddler.

Exit interview was conducted and a copy of the report was given to Associated Director.
