25 | Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Isabel Ortega conducted an unannounced annual random inspection. The LPA met with licensee who guided the LPA on a tour of the facility. Upon entry to the facility the LPA observed 6 children in care. Present today are licensee and Assistant (fingerprint cleared).
This is a single-story family home. There is a living room, kitchen, dining room, four bedrooms, five restrooms, and a den. The off-limits areas are the four bedrooms, four restrooms, kitchen, living room, and dining room. Main care is provided in the den referred to as the Child Care area separate from the main home. The children utilize the bathroom located in the den. The food preparation area is barricaded with a child safety gate to prevent children from accessing the area.
The day care home provides breakfast, lunch, afternoon snack and dinner as needed. The operating child care hours are Monday through Sunday varied depending on family’s need.
The home was inspected inside and out for safety, comfort, cleanliness, telephone service, heating and ventilation, inaccessibility to poisons, detergents, cleaning compounds, medicines, and hazardous items that can pose a danger to children. The knives are kept in the kitchen inaccessible to children in care. All cleaning supplies and chemicals are stored in a locked safety box inaccessible to children. |
