25 | On 10/27/2022, Licensing Program Analysts (LPA), Loyce Phillips conducted an unannounced Annual Required Inspection and was met by Licensee, Ofelia Ochoa. LPA did not observe any children present today. All adults that resides in the home have a criminal record clearance. Days and hours of operation are Monday through Friday from 7:00am to 4:30pm. The facility does have liability insurance.
LPA toured the home inside and outside. This is a 5 bedroom, 3 bathroom home with living room, dining area, kitchen, laundry area, and detached garage.
The areas that are accessible to children: Living room, dining area, kitchen, laundry area, bedroom #4 (day care room), bathroom #2, front yard, side yard and back yard. The back yard has age appropriate toys for outdoor activities.
The areas that are off limits to children: Bedrooms #1, #2, #3, #5, bathrooms #1, #3, detached garage, right side of the garage an left side of the home.
No poisons were observed during the inspection. Detergents, cleaning compounds, medication and other hazardous items are inaccessible to children.
There is a full charged fire extinguisher located near the backdoor. The facility has a working smoke detectors and carbon monoxide detector, inside the home. The facility has adequate heating and ventilation for safety and comfort. The home has a wall heater that is screened and inaccessible to children. There are no stairs in the home. Safe toys, play equipment and napping equipment observed. The home has working telephone service and LPA confirmed the phone number is (310) 569-5643.
Licensee ensures that children in care are supervised at all times and is aware children shall not be left in parked vehicles. Car seats are used for transportation purposes only and are not used for sleeping children. Capacity as specified on the license is being maintained.
