25 | On 4/5/2022 Licensing Program Analyst (LPA),Judy Laureano conducted an unannounced Annual Required Inspection and was met by Martha Estrada, licensee . Also present was licensee husband. Licensee is Spanish Speaking. Days and hours of operation are Monday through Friday 7:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.
LPA toured the home inside and outside and a census was taken. Licensee confirmed that the kitchen, bedroom 1 are OFF LIMITS to the children in care. LPA reminded licensee that any OFF-LIMITS area should remain locked during the hours of operation. Bedroom 2, bathroom, living room and dining room are used for providing care and are accessible to the children. Bedroom 2 is used for additional napping area when needed. There is no swimming pool or other bodies of water on the premises. There are no firearms or ammunition on the premises. No poisons were observed during the inspection. Detergents, cleaning compounds, medication and other hazardous items are made inaccessible under the kitchen cabinet. LPA reminded licensee that all cleaning supplies need to be placed in a locked cabinet and/or made inaccessible to the children in care.
Open face heaters was observed in the living room of the home. LPA observed a metal gate barricading the wall heater, making in accessible to the children in care. There is a working fire extinguisher, smoke detector, carbon monoxide detector and adequate heating and ventilation for safety and comfort. There are no stairs in this home. Safe toys and play equipment are observed. The home has working telephone service and LPA confirmed the phone number is 310-693-1575.
LPA discussed Safe Sleep Regulations with licensee and provided hard copies of the new Safe Sleep Regulations. There is two play yards in the home for each infant in care, cribs and play yards are kept free from all loose articles and objects while
