On 01/15/2025 Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Doris Whitmore made an unannounced visit for the purpose of conducting a 3 Year Inspection. LPA met with Sanji Peires, Teacher Site Lead and LPA toured the facility indoors and outdoors. LPA observed all postings requirements for operation on the postings board LIC203A- License, LIC610A-Emergency Disaster Plan, LIC9148- Earthquake Preparedness Checklist, PUB394-Notification of Parents Rights Poster, LIC613A- Personal Rights, PUB-269- Car Seat Law, Menus, Activity Schedule, Roster. LPA was able to review 5 staff files. Facility has a working carbon monoxide and the Smoke detector was to high to test. The Fire Extinguisher was a 3-40 BC

There is no swimming pool or other bodies of water on the premises. There are no firearms or ammunition allowed or stored on the premises. LPA Whitmore did not observed in pets at the facility. LPA Whitmore shared with the Teacher Site Lead regarding the Pin that will be coming out regarding pools. LPA Whitmore shared the new law for pool requirements AB2866.During this inspection, LPA observed no physical changes to the facility. LPA observed a working telephone on the premises, heating, lighting, and ventilation were evaluated. Furniture and equipment were inspected for age appropriateness and good repair. Napping equipment were observed to be clean and good condition. Adequate storage for children's belongings, bathrooms facilities, and separate area for isolation and care of ill children located in each classroom. At the time of the inspection. Documentation of current Fire/Earthquake disaster drill was observed monthly. First Aid supplies were inventoried and available. A sufficient supply of toilet paper, soap, paper towels, was observed. All toilets and handwashing facilities are in safe and sanitary operating condition. The facility roster was up to date. The trash cans had tight fitting lids were outside and observed in the classrooms. Sign in/out were reviewed Availability of drinking water was observed for the children in the classroom and outdoors. Playground equipment is in safe condition, free of sharp, loose, or pointed parts. LPA did not observe any debris or hazards that would pose an immediate risk to children in care.LPA observed a age-appropriate climbing apparatus with proper cushioning beneath and properly secured.

LPA observed shade in the outdoor play area.LPA Whitmore reviewed a total of 10 children files, all files had required documentation. A total of 5 staff files were reviewed. Staff are current on the Mandated Reporter Training and at least one staff is certified in First Aid and CPR. The children's files will be reviewed at another time.

Facility representative was reminded that all adults 18 and over, including employees and volunteers, except as specified in Health and Safety Code section 1596.871, must obtain a criminal record clearance or exemption, or transfer their existing clearance or exemption, prior to initial presence in a Childcare Center. A civil penalty of $100.00 minimum/day for a maximum of 5 days or, if the penalty is for a repeat violation, for a maximum of 30 days per person will be assessed if this regulation is violated.

Assembly Bill (AB) 2370, Chapter 676, Statutes of 2018, requires all licensed Childcare Centers (CCCs) constructed before January 1, 2010, to test their water (used for drinking and food preparation) for lead contamination before January 1, 2023, and then every 5-years after the date of the first test. For childcare center licenses issued after July 1, 2022, the licensee shall test their water for lead within 180 days of licensure pursuant to Written Directives section 101700 (PIN 21-21.1-CCP). LPA verified that the lead testing was completed in accordance to the Written Directives outlined in PIN 21-21.1-CCP.LPA verified that the lead testing was completed in accordance to the Written Directives outlined in PIN21-21.1-CCP.

LPA discussed the safe sleep regulations with and discussed the Child Care Licensing Safe Sleep webpage athttps://www.cdss.ca.gov/inforesources/child-care-licensing/public-information-and- resources/safe-sleep as an additional resource. LPA also informed Silvia of the importance of checking for recalled infant devices on the United States Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) website at https://www.cpsc.gov/ and recommended they register all infant devices with the CPSC to be notified of any recalls on their purchased equipment.This facility provides Incidental Medical Services – IMS. LPA Whitmore explained to Silvia the importance of infant devices and also that information can be shared with the familes as well so that they are awre of what to look for. LPA Whitmore informed Silvia that she can also share the website as well.

This facility provides Incidental Medical Services – IMS. LPA reviewed storage of medication and equipment/supplies, and reviewed children’s, personnel, and administrative records. Sanji Peires was informed of the MyChildCarePlan.org website; a consumer education website that helps families obtain childcare by connecting them to child care providers and Resource and Referral Agencies (R&Rs) throughout California.
