25 | On 12/08/2022 Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Isabel Ortega conducted an unannounced annual random inspection. The LPA disclosed the purpose of the inspection and was granted entry by Licensee who guided the LPA on a tour of the home. Upon entry to the facility the LPA observe 7 children in care and one Assistant providing care and supervision (fingerprint cleared).
This is a two-story single-family home. There is a living room, dining room, kitchen, four bedrooms, three restrooms, family room, laundry room and an attach garage. Main care is provided in the family room referred to as the Child Care Play area. Licensee provides children with cots and playpens(infants) for napping. The off-limits areas are the four bedrooms, two restrooms, laundry room (maintained key locked), attach garage (maintained key locked) and the second floor (child safety gate observed). According to Licensee she participates in the Food Nutrition Program. Licensee provides breakfast, lunch, and afternoon snack. The operational child care hours are Monday through Friday from 6:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.
The home was inspected inside and out for safety, comfort, cleanliness, telephone service, heating and ventilation, inaccessibility to poisons, detergents, cleaning compounds, medicines, and hazardous items that can pose a danger to children. Knives and medication are kept in the kitchen on a top shelf- inaccessible to children. Cleaning supplies and chemicals are kept under the sink (child safety latch observed) and on a inaccessible high shelf to children in care. |
