25 | On 07/13/2023 at 8:30 a.m. Licensing Program Analyst (LPA), Doris Whitmore conducted an unannounced annual inspection. LPA met with site supervisor. Isabel Vitela LPA toured the facility inside and outside. There were no children in care. Children will return August 21, 2023. All center staff that was present during today’s visit had fingerprint cleared and associated to the designated license number.
LPA observed all posting requirements for operation on the posting board LIC 203A-License, LIC-9213-Notice of site visit, LIC 610 A-Emergency Disaster Plan, LIC 9148-Earthquake Preparedness Check List, PUB 394-Notification of parent’s rights poster, LIC 613A- Personal Rights, PUB 269- Child Car Seat Law, and Activity Schedule. There was no menu posted due to no class in session.
The premises has one Full Day Class from 8:15a.m. to 2:15p.m. and one State Pre-school Class form 8:00a.m. to 3:00p.m. Monday through Friday. LPA inspected the furniture and equipment for age appropriateness and good repair. Telephone service, heating, lighting, and ventilation were evaluated. Storage for children's belongings, isolation area was inspected. Children napping equipment are in good condition. Age-appropriate sinks and toilets were inspected for availability, good repair, water temperature, toilet paper, paper towels, area safety and sanitation. All classrooms have trash can with tight lids, first aid supplies, smoke detectors; carbon monoxide/fire extinguishers were observed. A review of medication policy, including administering, labeling, storage, and records was made. LPA reviewed the forms Medication to be taken during school hours, Individual Health Care Plan (IHP), Medication Checklist, Consent form for Nebulizer Care.
LPA was able to view 3 staff files and 10 children files. Children and staff records were reviewed and in good order. There is one staff that is currently has CPR and Fist Aid. LPA Whitmore reviewed the sign in sheet of training that took place 06/23/2023 for First Aid and CPR. Staff are currently waiting on the issue of cards.
During this inspection, LPA observed no physical changes to the facility. LPA observed a working telephone on the premises, heating, lighting, and ventilation were evaluated. Furniture and equipment were inspected for age appropriateness and good repair. Page 1
