On 3/11/2022, at 2:30PM, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Veronica Wheatley conducted an unannounced Case Management and met with Principal Dr. Teresa Lanphere. The purpose of inspection is to follow up on an Unusual Incident Reports which were submitted to the Department for January 2022. LPA Wheatley toured the inside and outdoors of the facility. LPA observed children playing and eating inside of the classrooms. LPA observed the children being properly supervised.

According to the UIRs, there were 9 individuals reported for this site. The director states all of the individuals (staff & children) who were reported to Los Angeles County Public County Health Department isolated at that time and have returned back to the facility.

During the inspection, LPA observed staff wearing face masks and some students wearing masks as it is strongly recommended by the Torrance School District.

LPA observed cleaning supplies and hand sanitizer inside the classrooms. LPA observed the restrooms fully stocked with soap and paper towels. LPA observed the PPE supplies in the school office including masks for children and adults.

LPA observed a banner posted at the entrance of the school with the Covid-19 signs and symptoms.

LPA discussed the updated Covid-19 guidelines. The isolation area is located outside in front of the office.

No deficiencies were cited, per Title 22 Division 12, Chapter 3, of the California Code of Regulations.

An exit interview was conducted and a copy of this report will be provided to the director via email.
