25 | Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Neal met with Victoria Coronel, licensee, who guided analyst on a tour of the facility for a Random inspection. This is a two story 5 bedroom, 3 bathroom home with kitchen, living room, formal dining room, family room, playroom (enclosed patio area) and garage. The garage is used for storage only and no child care activities are conducted there. There is no pool, spa or other bodies of water on the premises. Family members residing in the home include 2 adults (licensee, adult son) and 3 children. Licensee is a Foster Parent. There were 2 child care children present during this inspection. Incidental Medical Services (IMS) were discussed.
Main care is provided in the enclosed patio playroom, formal dining and living room. Children use the bathroom located down the hall to the left of entrance. Children have access to the kitchen and backyard. Off limit areas include the home's entire gated upstairs, downstairs bedroom (key lock), hallway closet (key lock) and the garage. The home was inspected inside and out for safety, comfort, cleanliness, telephone service, heating and ventilation, inaccessibility to poisons, detergents/cleaning compounds , medicines, and hazardous items that can pose a danger to children. Sharp knives are stored in a key locked kitchen drawer. Cleaning compounds and medicines are stored in a locked storage closet in the hallway. Facility roster complete and maintained current. Fire/earthquake drills are also current. There is a wall heater in the playroom is screened. |
