25 | On 1/11/2024 Licensing Program Analyst (LPA), Loyce Phillips conducted an unannounced Required Inspection and was met by Licensee, Oralia Estrada. LPA observed 8 children in care today with 2 Assistant. Licensee's mother and adult daughter were present during inspection. All adults have a criminal record clearance. Days and hours of operation are Monday through Friday 7:00am to 5:00pm. The facility has liability insurance.
LPA toured inside and outside the facility. This is a 2 story home with 5 bedrooms, 4 bathrooms, living room, kitchen, dining area and detached garage.
The areas that are accessible to children: Living room, dining area, bathroom #1, #2 (located downstairs), large bedroom (day care room) backyard and side yard. The areas that are off limits to children: Second level of the home which consist of 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. The upstairs area is made inaccessible by child safety gate. The kitchen, bedroom #1 (downstairs), laundry room and garage is also off limits to children.
There is no swimming pool or other bodies of water on the premises. There are no firearms or ammunition allowed or stored on the premises. No poisons were observed during the inspection. Detergents, cleaning compounds, medication and other hazardous items are made inaccessible to children.
There is a full charged fire extinguisher located in the dining area, serviced on 8/2/2023. The facility has a working smoke detectors and carbon monoxide detector, inside the home. The facility has adequate heating and ventilation for safety and comfort. There are stairs in the home that is made inaccessible. Safe toys, materials and play equipment observed. LPA observed First Aid kit located in day care room. Children nap on cots and infants nap in pack n' plays.
