25 | On 6/7/2022 Licensing Program Analysts (LPA), Loyce Phillips conducted an unannounced Annual Required Inspection and was met by Licensee, Karla Lopez. LPA observed 4 children in care today, with 1 assistant. All adults have a criminal record clearance. The facility operates up to 23 hours. Licensee is aware that a staff shall remain awake whenever children are awake.
LPA toured the home inside and outside. This is a 4 bedroom, 3 bathroom home with living room, dining area, kitchen, pantry area and converted garage.
The areas that are accessible to children: Living room, dining area, bedroom #3 (napping room) bathroom #2 and the back yard is used for outdoor activities.
The areas that are off limits to children: Bedrooms #1, #2, #4, bathroom #1, #3, kitchen, pantry area and the right/left side of the home that is use for storage. The kitchen, pantry area, converted garage is made inaccessible by safety gate. Bedrooms #1 and #2 are made inaccessible by safety door knobs.
The home does not have any fire arms. The home does not have a swimming pool or other bodies of water. No poisons were observed during the inspection. Detergents, cleaning compounds, medication and other hazardous items are made inaccessible to children.
There is a full charged fire extinguisher located in the day care room. The facility has a working carbon monoxide and smoke detector, inside the home. The facility has adequate heating and ventilation for safety and comfort. There are no stairs in the home. Safe toys and play equipment are observed.
