On 09/01/2022 Licensing Program Analyst (LPA), Lisa Clayton conducted an Unannounced Annual inspection. Present during the inspection was Licensee Gloria Robledo, her husband Agustin, and assistant Minerva, both fingerprint cleared and associated with the license. LPA Clayton observed 11 children in care, being supervised and care for appropriately. Operating hours are Monday – Friday, 7:30am – 5pm. Licensee will provide breakfast, lunch, and am/pm snacks, and dinner as needed.

LPA Clayton toured the home inside and outside for a Health and Safety inspection. The two-story home consists of the following: 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, living room, family room, kitchen, and fenced backyard.

The ON-LIMIT areas are as follows: living room, family room (daycare play/napping area), kitchen (daycare eating area), ½ bathroom and fenced back yard.

The OFF-LIMIT areas are as follows: the entire upstairs floor, which consists of bedrooms 1, 2, and 3, and the full bathroom, all of which are made inaccessible by locked doors, child safety gates and supervision.

The day care area has a working carbon monoxide detector, 2 working smoke detectors, and a fully charged 2A10BC fire extinguisher. A Fire Clearance by the LACFPB was granted in December 2017. The home is neat and clean and has adequate heating and ventilation for safety and comfort. Safe toys and play equipment are observed.

The Per the licensee, there are no firearms in the home. Any detergents, cleaning compounds, medication, poisons and other hazardous items are made inaccessible to children.

Licensee ensures that children in care are supervised at all times and is aware children shall not be left in parked vehicles. Car seats are used for transportation purposes only and are not used for sleeping children. Capacity as specified on the license is being maintained.

A review of records indicates that both Licensee’s and assistants Mandated Reporter Training and CPR/First Aid certificates will expire in December 2022. LPA Clayton advised Ms. Gloria to submit the updated certificates to CCLD/ESRO upon completion (address and email address provided). The Licensees and staff are in compliance with the immunization law which pertains to day care providers.

Children’s, employees and Facility files were reviewed and are current with all required documents. LPA Clayton reviewed the LIC 9227 for all infants in care. The facility roster was observed to be current and complete.
