25 | Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Roberto Luque Avila conducted an unannounced annual inspection to the above facility on 12/17/2024. LPA arrived at the facility at 01:20PM, identified self and met with Amalia Moncayo, facility representative who guided analyst on a tour of the facility. Licensee arrived to the facility at approximately 1:45PM. LPA provided Licensee with a copy of the LIC 126 Entrance Checklist to help facilitate the inspection. LPA observed 5 children 1 staff upon arrival. Per Licensee, operation hours are 8:30AM to 4:30PM. There are 13 children that are currently enrolled. The licensee is observed to be operating within the license capacity limitations. Emergency Disaster Plan, Parent’s Rights Poster and the Facility License were observed to be posted.
This is a one story home which consists of 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, 2 children's rooms, kitchen, dining room, living room, laundry room, and fenced front yard and backyard. The children use the bathroom #2 located in children's room #2. The restroom that children use was observed to be safe and sanitary. Per Licensee, areas off limits to children are: Bedroom #1, #2, #3, bathroom #1, kitchen, dining room, living room, laundry room, and front yard, these areas are made inaccessible by child safety gates and door safety knobs. The licensee provide snacks to children and children bring their own meals.
All areas identified on the facility sketch that are accessible for children to use were inspected for safety, comfort, and cleanliness. There is telephone service via a cellphone that is used and the cellphone stays at the facility during operation hours. There is ventilation and heating via central air. Safe toys, play equipment and materials were observed.
Detergents, cleaning compounds, medications, and other items which could pose a danger to children were observed to be inaccessible to children. The licensee states that there are no poisons in the home and understands that storage areas for poisons must be locked with a key or combination lock.
