25 | On March 8, 2021 at 3:50PM. Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Veronica Wheatley conducted an announced Case Management Tele-inspection via Zoom due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The purpose of the meeting was to ensure that health, safety and personal rights as required by Title 22 Regulations governing California Family Child Care homes are met by the Licensees. LPA Wheatley met with Licensee, Claudia Madrigal, who guided the analyst on a tour of the home. LPA observed 3 children
present during the inspection. The licensee received an approved Fire Clearance granted by Torrance Fire Department. All areas identified on the facility sketch were inspected. The main care is provided in the rear bedroom and living room. Per the licensee, the facility sketch will be updated to add the living room for day care. Children have access to the bathroom in hallway and back yard. The off limits areas are: two bedrooms, front yard, kitchen, dining room and detached garage. There is no pool, spa or other bodies of water on the premises. Licensee and licensee's husband are fingerprint cleared.
LPA observed the home is clean orderly and properly ventilated. Telephone service, heating, lighting and ventilation were evaluated. The required fire extinguisher (2A10BC) is not appropriate. LPA smoke/carbon monoxide detectors are in operable condition. LPA reviewed the L.A. County Public Health Guidelines with licensee in regards to Covid-19. LPA observed the hand sanitizing station at the entrance. The parents do not enter the home. The children are kept 6 feet apart and wear masks. There are adequate age appropriate toys. Each child has there own individual container for their own toys. LPA observed disinfectant and cleaning materials. The toys and equipment are cleaned throughout the day and at the end of the day. LPA observed cots and bedding separate.
