25 | On 07/01/22 Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Silva Garibyan, conducted an unannounced Annual Required Inspection and was met by Licensee, Madelia Ramirez. Also present was Staff #1. Licensee is Spanish Speaking and licensee’s godchild assisted with interpretation. Days and hours of operation are Monday – Saturday from 7:00 a.m to 7:00 p.m..
LPA toured the home inside and outside and a census was taken. There were six children present (including one infant) at the time of the visit. Current facility sketch was reviewed. Licensees’ home is a single dwelling with 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, kitchen, living room, family/childcare room, back yard. Childcare is provided in the family room. Children in care have access to the bathroom located in the childcare room. The first bedroom in the hallway is utilized as a napping area. LPA observed a crib in the bedroom. LPA informed the licensee that sleeping/napping children have to be supervised and children can't sleep behind closed doors. There is no swimming pool or other bodies of water on the premises. There are no firearms or ammunition on the premises. All poisons are kept in a locked storage area. No poisons were observed during the inspection. Detergents, cleaning compounds, medication and other hazardous items are made inaccessible.
The fireplace located in the childcare room. LPA observed a shelf with age appropriate toys that blocks the fireplace and makes it inaccessible to children in care. There is a working fire extinguisher, smoke detector, carbon monoxide detector and adequate heating and ventilation for safety and comfort.
