25 | On 0712/2022 Licensing Program Analyst (LPA), Lisa Clayton conducted an unannounced Annual inspection and was met by Licensee, Julia Salazar and her fingerprint cleared assistant Jeffrey Salazar. LPA observed 10 children in care today being supervised and care for appropriately. Operating hours are Monday – Friday, 6am – 6pm. Licensee will provide breakfast, lunch, dinner and am/pm snacks. The facility carries liability insurance.
LPA toured the home inside and outside for a Health and Safety inspection. The single-family home consists of the following: 2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, living room, dining room, kitchen, den, fenced yard and garage/storage area.
The ON LIMIT areas are as follows: Living room, dining room, daycare room (den), bathroom #2 and fenced yard.
The OFF LIMIT areas are: Bedrooms #1 and #2, bathroom #1, kitchen, and garage all of which are made inaccessible by locked doors, child safety gates and supervision.
There is a full charged fire extinguisher in the kitchen. The facility has a 2 working carbon monoxide/smoke detectors. The facility has adequate heating and ventilation for safety and comfort. There are no stairs in the home. Safe toys and play equipment are observed. The home has working telephone service and LPA Clayton confirmed the phone number is (310) 908-1659.
The Per the licensee, there are no firearms in the home. There are no swimming pools, ponds or other bodies of water on the property. Any detergents, cleaning compounds, medication, poisons and other hazardous items are made inaccessible to children.
Licensee ensures that children in care are supervised at all times and is aware children shall not be left in parked vehicles. Car seats are used for transportation purposes only and are not used for sleeping children. Capacity as specified on the license is being maintained.
