32 | Outdoor playground equipment is in safe condition, free of sharp, loose or pointed parts. The surface of the outdoor activity space is maintained in a safe condition and is free of hazards. All areas around or under high climbing equipment, swings, slides, and similar equipment are cushioned with material that absorbs a fall. There is adequate shade in the play yard. Availability of outdoor drinking water was observed.
All individuals present have obtained a criminal record clearance or criminal record exemption.
LPA attempted to review Children’s Records for completeness; No children files were complete with required forms during this inspection this poses a potential health and safety risk to children in care.
Children's roster was not available for review. Sign-In and Sign-Out sheets were reviewed, LPA viewed one child not signed in that was present in Pre K Room #2 during inspection. This poses a potential health and safety to children in care. Disaster drill log was not available for review, per Director last drill was conducted on 05/09/19.
Menus are posted one week in advance where it is visible by the child's authorized representative. Menus for the past 30 days are available upon request. Morning snack and lunch are provided by facility. Evening snack is provided by child's Representative.
According to the Director, medication is only administered to a child when accompanied with a doctor's note and is stored in the upper cabinets of class room currently there are no children on medication.
Incidental Medical Services (IMS) policy was discussed. For IMS information see Evaluator Manual - Regulation Interpretations and Procedures for Child Care Centers Sections 101173 and 101226. When any IMS is provided, an updated Plan of Operation that includes IMS must be submitted to the Department.
