On June 13, 2019, Licensing Program Analysts (LPA) Miriam Cohen conducted a Case Management inspection for the purpose of observing and completing a capacity increase evaluation. Hours of operation is from 7:30 AM - 6:00 PM. LPA met with the preschool director, Beth Castagnola and toured the play ground. Current license includes two classrooms, Rooms 113 and 114. There is one restroom with 7 toilets and 4 sinks. The director added one classroom, Room 115, and submitted an application for capacity increase for a total of 45 children.

After measurements, the capacity for classroom 115 equals 15 children

The California Fence Company performed the following for the outdoor playground:
1. Enlarge the playground area fence by installing approximately 11 additional linear feet of five-foot-high, black vinyl coated chain fence link to fill in perimeter where the fences were widened.
2. Widen north and south sides of existing area by three-and-a-half feet of each side
3. The measurements of the playground is 69 feet X 50 feet.
After measurements, the capacity for outdoor play yard equals 45 children
Total Capacity including three rooms equals 45 children

Approved Fire Clearance for 45 children was received.

The licensee has an existing approved waiver for a rotating schedule to allow school age children to use the outside play yard.

A new waiver request with an adjusted play yard schedule was received and approved by the department.

After completing and submitting the above requirements, Licensure at the increased capacity is recommended.
