On February 14, 2020 Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Reiko Jones-Modeste and Licensing Program Manager (LPM) Trevino Cochran conducted an unannounced Annual Random REQUIRED inspection at the facility listed above. LPA met with Mrs. Linda White; Director for a guided tour of the facility. There were no school-age children present upon arrival. Licensee stated hours of operation are Monday through Friday 6:40am-6pm.

LPA toured the facility according to the sketch on file. Furniture and equipment were inspected for age appropriateness and good repair. Telephone service, heating, lighting and ventilation were observed. The preschool classroom was observed with appropriate equipment, toys and furniture. The following required postings were not observed: Emergency Disaster Plan.

Toys, games and equipment were observed in the school-age classroom located upstairs in a shared/split classroom with the Pre-Kindergarten children. LPA observed several student desks, electrical equipment as well as some toys, books, games and equipment. Upstairs bathrooms is off-limits to children in care per Director. Availability of indoor drinking water was not observed in any of the classrooms and water fountains were observed inoperable. Outdoor school-age yard was observed inaccessible to prohibit co-mingling. Basketball hoops and some children's equipment was observed

All classrooms currently use one restroom on the first floor as well the outdoor restroom located in the playground area. Restroom was observed safe and sanitary.

LPA found fire extinguisher in compliance. Smoke and carbon monoxide detectors found in compliance. Director provided proof of CPR and First Aid Certification, however certification did not indicate Pediatric. Director states she will contact Certification Instructor for updated certificates.

Kitchen, refrigerator and pantry were observed in compliance. Per the Director, lunch and snacks are
provided. Food and snacks menu were posted and available for review.

Staff records observed complete.

Per the Director, the front play yard is currently off-limits due to the renovation. LPA observed front yard equipment in need of cleaning and padding needs to be updated or cleaned.

At this time, the licensee is in compliance with California Title 22 Regulations. Therefore, there are no citations being issued today.

Exit interview conducted with Director Mrs. White. A copy of this report and appeal rights were provided and explained.



The Notice of Site Visit (LIC 9213) – must remain posted for 30 days during the hours of operation after each site visit by a licensing representative. Failure to maintain posting as required will result in a civil penalty of $100.00.
