32 | The complaint also mentioned that Child#1 was hit by an adult related to a staff member. During interviews it was stated that the Director does have a sister that drops of a child at the day care, but denied that this adult had any interaction with Child#1. LPA Lee confirmed that Child#1 no longer attends the facility, and was not available for an interview. Although it is possible that the incident involving child#1 and staff members did or did not happen, there was a lack of supportive information obtained during the investigation to prove either possible outcomes. The Director, staff members mentioned in the allegations, and children enrolled in the school age program were interviewed during the course of this investigation.
This department has investigated the complaint alleging the staff scratched day care child and child was hit by an adult at the facility. Although the allegations may have happened or is valid, there is not a preponderance of evidence to prove the alleged violations did or did not occur, therefore the allegations are unsubstantiated at this time.
