25 | On 07/18/19, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Karren Starks made an unannounced visit for the purpose of conducting an Case Management inspection due to the facility's probation due to end on 07/20/2019. LPA met with Artea Kirkland who guided LPA on a tour of the facility inside and outside. Proper teacher, child ratios were observed and found to be operating within the terms of the license. LPA toured the facility according to the facility sketch.
All classrooms were inspected and found to have trash cans with lids, water with cups readily available and napping equipment. There were cubbies observed for the children's belongings. All electrical outlets were covered and age appropriate toys and furniture were observed. The kitchen was inspected with an adequate supply of food observed. There were no cleaning items observed to be stored with the food items or dishes. The bathroom for the children is located off the hallway to the right with 4 operable sinks, 3 operable toilets and a sufficient supply of toilet paper, soap and paper towels. LPA toured and inspected the science area as well as the open area to the rear of the facility. All classrooms had adequate and age appropriate toys and furniture which were found to be in good repair. The telephone service, heating, lighting, and ventilation were found to be adequate. First Aid Kit observed. Children are inspected for illnesses as they arrive. There is a separate area for isolation and care of ill children. There is a cot available for each ill child. The sign in area was observed with the parent board that had the required postings as well as the current menu.
The outdoor area was inspected, LPA observed an area for shade and age appropriate furniture and toys. There was no debris or hazards observed at the time of inspection.
The file will be staffed with the Licensing Program Manager prior to any changes being made.
No deficiencies cited. Copy of report and Notice of Site visit issued.
