On 05/15/2024 Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Lisa Clayton arrived at the CCC unannounced, to conduct a Case Management – Other inspection regarding a CCIB Intake – “Neighbor concern” report received at the EL Segundo Regional Office on 05/13/2024. Upon arrival LPA Clayton was greeted by Director Julianne Abeyta. LPA Clayton observed 29 children being supervised and cared for by Director and 3 fingerprint cleared staff.

LPA Clayton toured the facility inside and outside for a Health and Safety inspection. LPA Clayton spoke with Director Julianne about the reporting parties concerns (see LIC 812). LPA Clayton interviewed RP (see LIC 812).

The report alleged that there is a child who “screeches no-stop when outside and that the staff is not working with her to stop it.” LPA Clayton observed the children playing outside, having snack outside and circle time indoors and observed the children’s behavior and noise level to be typical for a childcare center, as well as the staff responses to any such behaviors.

Per Title 22 Regulations and Health and Safety Codes, no deficiencies were cited today.

An exit interview was conducted. A copy of this report (LIC 809) and Notice of Site Visit were provided to Director Julianne, and must remain posted for 30 days.
