25 | On 6/23/2022 at 1:20pm Licensing Program Analyst (LPA), Denise Do Amaral Miranda arrived at Green Beginning Community Preschool, located at 3047-3049 S. Robertson Boulevard, Los Angeles, CA 90034, for the purpose of following up on the unusual report that was reported on 11/09/2021. LPA met with Veronica Cabello, Director, and discussed the purpose of the visit and toured inside and outside of the facility. LPA observed no children in care. Facility is closed this week and will reopen next 6/27/2022.
On 11/09/2021 Facility reported the following: Bathroom updates occurred in summer of 2020 when the school was closed. Facility did not have a summer program for that reason. An architect and structural engineer were hired to draw plans and to make sure updates were safe to make. A construction company was used to make the updates and the project was completed in 5 weeks. The changes were made so that each classroom (#1 and #2) would have their own bathroom rather than sharing bathrooms. Therefore, the hallway was eliminated, and the wall line taken to the end of the outdoor wall.
A Fire Safety Inspection was requested to L.A. City Fire Department since 11/2021. On 6/13/2022 Inspector Siva Borvorn, from Los Angeles Fire Department – Bureau of Fire Prevention conducted an inspection and approved a fire clearance. The Fire Safety Inspection form was dated on 6/13/2022 and signed by Inspector Borvorn.
LPA observed the classrooms #1 and #2 that have their own bathroom and a wall placed between bathroom and classroom (sketch was provided, showing the new layout of the classroom#1 and #2). Each bathroom has two sinks and two toilets.
There are no deficiencies cited during this inspection.
An exit interview was conducted and a copy of this report and Notice of Site Visit were provided to Veronica Cabello, Director.
