PERSONAL RIGHTS: Facility providing care to underage children at facility.

Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Jillinda Chandler, conducted an unannounced inspection at the Village Tree Child Care Center on 07/25/2022, for the purpose to deliver findings for Complaint Control Number: 30-CC-20220502104720. Complaint investigations were conducted by Licensing Program Analyst Keyona Scott.
LPA met with Director, Cindy Renderos Contreras at 04:00 PM. LPA toured the facility and observed the appropriate teacher to child ratios. All Adults working and/or volunteering at the facility have a criminal record clearance or exemption.
It was alleged that the facility is providing care to underage children at the facility. During the investigation, no disclosures were made that underage children are being cared for at the facility. It was alleged that a Managing Director that has a child enrolled in the

center, brings a younger child, outside of the license age requirements to the center. Interviews disclosed that child comes with the staff person to pick up the other child that is enrolled at the facility, the child always remains with parent. No disclosures were made that the underage child is commingled with children in care or that staff care for the child when The Managing Director is present at the facility; Statements were made that current and previous staff have children enrolled at the facility within the age requirements of the license. Based upon investigation, interviews, facility observation and file review, the allegation of Personal Rights, facility providing care to underage children at facility, is unsubstantiated, meaning although the allegations may have happened or are valid, the preponderance of the evidence standard has not been met.
No deficiencies were cited during today’s inspection on 07/25/2022.
A notice of site visit was given and must remain posted for 30 days.
Exit interview conducted and report was reviewed with Director Cindy Renderos Contreras.
