25 | On 09/15/2022 Licensing Program Analyst (LPA), Suzette Ornelas conducted an unannounced Annual Required Inspection for the preschool license. LPA met with Assistant Director, Alexis Lopez and toured the facility indoors and outdoors. Days and hours of operation are Monday through Friday 7a to 6p. Facility is equipped with a security camera system and security entry system.
LPA observed 68 children and 9 adults. A review of the digital sign in/out sheet was conducted to verify the current census of children. All children are under supervision, including visual supervision, of a teacher at all times. Capacity and limitations as specified on the license are being maintained. LPA observed 5 licensed preschool classrooms on the premises. RM 1: Dolphin (2 year olds), RM 2 Orca (3year olds), RM 3 Polar Bear (5 year olds), RM 4 Otter (older 3’s-4 year olds), RM 5 Seal (4 year olds)
All areas identified on the Facility Sketch were inspected. The following staff were present during this inspection:
RM 1: 9 preschool children with a ratio of 2 teacher
RM 2: 14 preschool children with a ratio of 2 teacher
RM 3: 10 preschool children with a ratio of 1 teachers
RM 4: 17 preschool children with a ratio of 2 teachers
RM 5: 18 preschool children with a ratio of 2 teacher
A walk through of the classroom room space was conducted, the space was found to be clean and free from any potential hazards. Furniture was found to be in good repair and age appropriate. LPA observed all required postings in a prominent area. There is adequate heating, lighting and ventilation. Drinking water is readily available. Isolation area for sick students is located in the Main Office or an area in Room 1 nearthe Main Office. LPA observed adequate arrangements for isolation and care of ill children. |
