32 | LPA also absorbed three storage sheds. Two sheds were locked with a keypad lock and the other storage is utilized to store playground equipment. LPA observed two side gates closed with self-latch locks.
At approximately 1:25 p.m., heating lighting and ventilation were evaluated by LPA Rivera. LPA observed central AC/heater and vents located on the ceiling wall. LPA observed the thermostat located in the classroom and the current room temperature to be at 72 degrees. LPA observed the fire extinguishers located inside the classrooms and kitchen and the valve on the required 2A10BC fire extinguishers indicating fully charged and serviced on 2/24/2022. LPA Rivera did not test the pull-down alarm station. LPA did not want to activate the alarm therefore the alarms were not tested.
LPA did observed napping equipment during nap time. For ill/isolation area children utilize the director's office and a cot is available for children to rest if needed. At approximately 1:40 p.m. LPA Rivera reviewed staff, children files, children roster and sign in/sign out sheets. Children files are up to date and complete.
This program provides breakfast, lunch and p.m. snack. The meals are provided by outside vendor. A monthly snack menu is available and posted in the classroom. For water drinking LPA observed disposable water cups and a water dispenser inside the classroom. LPA observed the food preparation area to be clean and free of litter, rubbish, rodents, and/or any other vermin and storage containers for solid waste, including moveable bins with tight-fitting covers that are kept on, and in good repair. The facility was observed to be free of flies, other insects and rodents. No children with food allergies during this inspection.
Facility administers medication. Before administrating medication, parents sign a medication consent form, provides the medication in original container with Dr's prescription. At approximately 2:35 p.m LPA Rivera observed the medication stored inside the emergency with expiration date 1/26/23.

Incidental Medical Services (IMS) policy was discussed. For IMS information see Evaluator Manual - Regulation Interpretations and Procedures for Child Care Centers Sections 101173 and 101226.
