On 02/21/2023 Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Deborah Lowe met with Facility Representatives, Regina Leybovich and Arina Faynshteyn. The purpose of the visit was an announce case management licensee initiated inspection at the facility to evaluate proposed changes to the facility outdoor play area.
LPA Lowe observed 12 children under supervision of 3 staff. LPA Lowe toured indoor and outdoor of facility with Regina Leybovich and Arina Faynshteyn.
Per Child Care Center Regulation 101237(a) Alterations to Existing Buildings or New Facilities (a) Prior to construction or alterations, the licensee shall notify the Department of the proposed change(s) and Child Care Center Regulation 101212(c) Reporting Requirements, (c) The licensee shall notify the Department in writing of his/her intent prior to making any structural changes that reduce the total amount of indoor or outdoor activity space.
On 02/03/2023 the Licensee notified the Department that Toluca Crossroads was awarded a minor renovation grant. The Licensee’s notification stated the facility will use the grant to remodel the existing playgrounds.
On 02/21/2023 LPA Lowe met with Facility Representatives, Regina Leybovich and Arina Faynshteyn to discuss and review how the facility will conduct the proposed changes while ensuring the Health and Safety of the children.
LPA Lowe advised; the purpose of LPA Lowe is to consult with the facility on the proposed temporary outdoor play usage for Infants during the remodel of the existing playgrounds. The Licensee will make the final decision on the temporary outdoor play area that will be used during the remodel to the existing playgrounds.
LPA Lowe observed two outdoor Infant play yards, one is located on the deck next to the preschool outdoor play area and the other is located on the side of the infant building near the infant room.
