32 | 7. Remind staff to make disinfectant readily available when outdoors for easy cleaning but out of reach from children (store after use, out of direct sun)
8. Create staggered schedules for staff (break/lunch) as necessary
9. Create additional space between tables (square footage permitting) during snack and lunch time for children, they are vulnerable due to no masks worn during this time
10. Update cleaning log for all classrooms to include toys, surfaces, cribs (infant/toddler) and post in each room for staff to complete daily
11. Submit a written plan for the schedule of the two and three year old classroom while plan/changes are approved
12. Advise department regarding plan for two and three year old classroom (add room to license, etc.) due to two cohorts in one classroom
A temporary plan to create a schedule for the two and three year old classroom was submitted to LPA Ramirez on 1/19/2021. The plan states that the new hours of operation are 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM and each age group will be divided into two. There will be six two year olds and six three year olds temporarily housed in the large classroom in order to practice physical distancing. The remaining two groups of two and three year olds will be outdoors on the playground or in the music program. The children will still nap in the same room. Health Educator Castillo and LPA Ramirez are requesting a written schedule of the program for the facility (arrival, curriculum, playtime, music program, snack time, lunch, pick up) to further assist the facility. The facility has decided to add a room to the license so that the two and three year olds can be separated as they are currently still housed in the same classroom. The facility has received a fire clearance for the additional room and LPA Ramirez will work with LPA Chandler to move forward with this room.
Health Educator Castillo and LPA Ramirez suggested the following implementations:
1. Remove unnecessary furniture in the two & three year old classroom to allow for physical distancing
2. Add a barrier (i.e. solid, sturdy material that can be cleaned) to the fence bordering the toddler playground and the lunch tables |
