25 | On 2/23/2023, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Adrian Risher conducted an Annual Inspection. LPA provided Licensee with the purpose of the visit and was granted access to the facility. LPA met with Gioconda Porras, Licensee. LPA toured the inside and outside of the property with the Licensee. LPA observed the home to be clean, safe, orderly and well ventilated. There was 1 child present at the time of the inspection. The operating hours are 7 days a week 23 hours.
LPA observed the home to have a Living Room, Dining Room, Kitchen, Entertainment Room, 4 bedrooms, and 2 1/2 bathrooms. The Licensee utilizes the entertainment room as the day-care. The rest of the home is inaccessible to the children. The children eat, nap and do daily activities in the entertainment room. LPA observed cots and cribs that are used for napping. LPA observed age appropriate toys and equipment for the children.
The kitchen and bathroom areas were inspected for proper storage of chemicals, detergents, cleaning compounds, medications and sharp pointed objects. These items were made inaccessible to children. Kitchen cabinets were made inaccessible to children in care. LPA observed a safety gate at the entrances of the kitchen. LPA observed a safety gate at the bottom of the stairs in the home.
Licensee states that there are no weapons in the home. Licensee reports that she has 1 dog, 3 cats and 2 turtles in the home. LPA observed operable smoke detectors and carbon monoxide detectors. The home is equipped with 2 (2-A:10-B:C) Fire Extinguisher and First Aid kit which includes thermometer and band aids.
The home has central air and heat.
LPA inspected the outside area and observed age appropriate toys. There are no bodies of water at the home. LPA observed a play apparatus and swing-set in the backyard of the home.
