1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 10 11 12 13 14 15 16 17 18 19 20 21 22 23 24 25	On April 9th 2021, Licensing Program Analysts (LPAs) Shandra Powell and Jillinda Chandler conducted an announced case management inspection for the purpose of re-measuring the facility for the purpose of a capacity decrease. This facility is currently licensed for 168 preschool children and 24 toddlers. This facility is requesting a decrease from their preschool capacity and to omit the toddler option from the license. LPAs met with Kelly Coleman, Director of Programs, who guided analysts on a tour of the facility. Teacher-Child ratios were observed to be in accordance with Title 22 Regulations. All children were observed to be under visual supervision of a teacher at all times. This is a Pre-School Program with a Toddler Option which consists of 8 classrooms; Room 1, Room 2, Room 3, Room 4, Room 5 (two sides A & B), Room 6 and Room 8/9 (room was split in half). This program will serve children ages 2 to Entry into First Grade. During this inspection the Toddler Option was located in Room 7. The new hours for the Preschool Program will be 5:00 AM - 10:00 PM. The facility will continue to operate 7 days a week. The Licensee is requesting a decrease from the capacity of 168 preschoolers to 148 preschool children and omit the Toddler Option component to add an infant Center to the facility in Rooms 6 & 7. The facility is seeking to change Room 6 & 7 into the Infant Center (Facility #197494468). All areas identified on the facility sketch were toured both indoors and outdoors; measurements were taken. This program provides Breakfast, Lunch and PM snack and Dinner snack.

Outdoor play equipment was observed to be in good condition, free of sharp, loose or pointed parts. LPAs observed shade for the children. Outdoor activity space surface is maintained in a safe condition and is free of hazards. LPAs did not observe pools, spas or other bodies of water on the premises. LPAs did not observe weapons or firearms at the facility. All individuals present have obtained a criminal record clearance or criminal record exemption.

This facility provides Incidental Medical Services – IMS. There are currently children with IMS medication. The licensee is seeking a capacity decrease to provide care for 148 Preschool Children; Based on measurements, the facility has space for: 144 Preschool Children.

Exit interview was conducted with Director, Kelly Coleman during which appeal rights were explained. Due to COVID-19 and precautionary measures this report along with a copy of the appeal rights will be sent to the facility via email with a read receipt or confirmation of receipt of email, which will act as the Director's signature
