25 | On 8/8/2024 Licensing Program Analysts (LPA), Suzette Ornelas conducted an unannounced Annual Required Inspection. LPA was met by Licensee, CALDERON, AMINTA who guided LPA on a tour of the home. Days and hours of operation are Monday through Sunday 24 hour care.
LPA toured the home inside and outside and a census was taken. LPA observed 8 day care children and 2 adults. Capacity as specified on the license is being maintained. All areas identified on the facility sketch were inspected. This is a single family, single story home (5 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, living/dining room, kitchen, breakfast area, laundry room). The home was inspected inside and out. On limit areas include the two bedrooms in the back of the house and the living room. Children will have access to the bathroom in the hall way, adjacent to the laundry room. All other rooms are off limits and made inaccessible by placing a safety gate in the kitchen and laundry room and safety door knobs on the other doors. LPA observed a working smoke detector, carbon monoxide detector, fully charged 2A10BC fire extinguisher (May 20, 2024) and a working telephone. The front yard is on limits only when children enter the home. The home was inspected inside and out for safety, comfort, cleanliness, telephone service, heating and ventilation, inaccessibility to poisons, detergents, cleaning compounds, medicines, and hazardous items that can pose a danger to children. The First Aid Kit was observed and complete. Per LIS the facility annual fees are current. There are age appropriate toys and napping equipment on the premises. Facility provides daily meals for the children. Licensee has posted as required the License, and all other required postings in a visible location. Per licensee, living room will be used as the isolation area.
There are no firearms or ammunition on the premises. The outdoor play area in the backyard is fenced and there are no hazards to children present. Home does not have a swimming pool. Home does not have a fireplace. There is currently 2 infants in care. LPA provided safe sleep information. Licensee ensures that children in care are supervised at all times and is aware children shall not be left in parked vehicles. Car seats are used for transportation purposes only and are not used for sleeping children. |
