On 8/8/2024 Licensing Program Analysts (LPA), Suzette Ornelas conducted an unannounced Annual Required Inspection. LPA was met by Licensee, CALDERON, AMINTA who guided LPA on a tour of the home. Days and hours of operation are Monday through Sunday 24 hour care.

LPA toured the home inside and outside and a census was taken. LPA observed 8 day care children and 2 adults. Capacity as specified on the license is being maintained. All areas identified on the facility sketch were inspected. This is a single family, single story home (5 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, living/dining room, kitchen, breakfast area, laundry room). The home was inspected inside and out. On limit areas include the two bedrooms in the back of the house and the living room. Children will have access to the bathroom in the hall way, adjacent to the laundry room. All other rooms are off limits and made inaccessible by placing a safety gate in the kitchen and laundry room and safety door knobs on the other doors. LPA observed a working smoke detector, carbon monoxide detector, fully charged 2A10BC fire extinguisher (May 20, 2024) and a working telephone. The front yard is on limits only when children enter the home. The home was inspected inside and out for safety, comfort, cleanliness, telephone service, heating and ventilation, inaccessibility to poisons, detergents, cleaning compounds, medicines, and hazardous items that can pose a danger to children. The First Aid Kit was observed and complete. Per LIS the facility annual fees are current. There are age appropriate toys and napping equipment on the premises. Facility provides daily meals for the children. Licensee has posted as required the License, and all other required postings in a visible location. Per licensee, living room will be used as the isolation area.



There are no firearms or ammunition on the premises. The outdoor play area in the backyard is fenced and there are no hazards to children present. Home does not have a swimming pool. Home does not have a fireplace. There is currently 2 infants in care. LPA provided safe sleep information. Licensee ensures that children in care are supervised at all times and is aware children shall not be left in parked vehicles. Car seats are used for transportation purposes only and are not used for sleeping children.

An emergency fire/disaster drill log was observed to be up to date conducted monthly or every 6 months. Licensees and assistants Pediatric CPR/First Aid is current. A review of records indicates that all employees and/or volunteers have immunization records on file. Licensee and assistant complete the Mandated Reporter Training every 2 years. All adults who reside or work in the home have a criminal record clearance or exemption. There are no excluded individuals present at this home.

LPA discussed the safe sleep regulations with licensee and discussed the Child Care Licensing Safe Sleep webpage at https://www.cdss.ca.gov/inforesources/child-care-licensing/public-information-and-resources/safe-sleep as an additional resource. LPA also informed licensee of the importance of checking for recalled infant devices on the United States Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) website at https://www.cpsc.gov/ and recommended they register all infant devices with the CPSC to be notified of any recalls on their purchased equipment.

Incidental Medical Services (IMS) are not currently being provided. Licensee is aware that an IMS plan is required to be submitted to the licensing office if they provide any of these services. Licensee was reminded that all adults 18 and over living or working in the home, including employees and volunteers, except as specified in Health and Safety Code section 1596.871, must obtain a criminal record clearance or exemption, or transfer their existing clearance or exemption, prior to initial presence in a licensed Family Child Care Home. A civil penalty of $100.00 minimum/day for a maximum of 5 days or, if the penalty is for a repeat violation, for a maximum of 30 days per person will be assessed if this regulation is violated.

Licensee was informed of the MyChildCarePlan.org website; a consumer education website that helps families obtain child care by connecting them to child care providers and Resource and Referral Agencies (R&Rs) throughout California.

During the exit interview, the Licensee, confirmed that there are no Registered Sex Offenders living in the facility and LPA completed the RSO profile in FAS.

LPAs and Licensee discussed the Community Care Licensing website www.ccld.ca.gov which will provide access to Provider Information Notices (PINs), Quarterly Updates, COVID-19 Information and Resources, Mandated Reporter Training, Safe Sleep in Child Care, Lead Poisoning Facts, Forms and Regulations.

Per Title 22, Division 12, Chapter 3, of the California Code of Regulations, no deficiencies are being cited.

This report shall be made available to the public upon request. A notice of site visit was given and must remain posted for 30 days. Exit interview conducted and report was reviewed with the licensee, CALDERON, AMINTA.
