25 | On 9/12/19 at 9:35am Licensing Program Analysts (LPA) Denise Miranda, conducted a Case Management Inspection to the facility for the purpose of verifying the operation of a family child care home to ensure the health and safety standards as required by regulations, statues, and requirements governing California family child care homes. LPA met with co-licensee Karine Avagyan, who guided LPA on a tour of the facility and informed the reason of the inspection. LPA observed 10 children (which 3 were infants) were present at home along with co-Licensee and 2 assistants. Upon arrival Licensee was not present. At 10:15am LPA Miranda observed licensee arrived at the facility. LPA confirmed with the licensee and co-licensee that all adults working/residing in the home have obtained a criminal record. Per licensee and co-licensee, family members residing in the home at this time include 2 adults (licensee and co-licensee) and no children.
The licensee's home is a single story 3-bedroom, 2- bathroom home with living room, dining room, kitchen, den and detached garage. The garage is used for storage only. The main garage door is accessible from the alley only. There is no pool, spa or other bodies of water on the premises. The off limit are: master bedroom with a bathroom and the detached garage.
LPA Miranda reminded the licensee and co-licensee, regarding title 22 operation of the facility that “The licensee shall be present in the home and shall ensure that children in care are supervised at all times”.
During this visit, LPA interviewed licensee and co-licensee and obtained a declarations. Licensee and co-licensee provided an updated LIC279 Application for Family Child Care Home Licensee and agreed to mail no later than 9/16/2019 the following updates documents: 610A Emergency Disaster Plan and LIC9148 Earthquake Preparedness Checklist.
The content of this report was read and discussed in detail with the licensee. The facility is operating within substantial compliance per Title 22 regulations.
An exit interview was conducted, a copy of this report and notice of site visit provided to the licensee and co-licensee. |
