25 | On 10/11/2022, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Lillian Casillas conducted an unannounced annual inspection at the facility. LPA met with Licensee, Erika Pages, and discussed the purpose of the visit. LPA observed 8 children with 2 assistants (cleared and associated). Days and hours of operation are Monday through Friday, 8:00am to 5:00pm.
This is a single-story 3 bedroom, 2 bathroom home with kitchen, dining room, living room, attached garage, and front yard. There is no pool, spa or other bodies of water on the premises. Off-limit areas are: bedroom 1, bedroom 2, bathroom 2, kitchen, garage.
The home was inspected inside and out for safety, comfort, cleanliness, heating and ventilation, inaccessibility to poisons, detergents/cleaning compounds (under kitchen sink with latch), and hazardous items (sharp knives in upper kitchen cabinet) that can pose a danger to children. The living room is the primary child care area. LPA observed age appropriate toys, learning materials, games and activities for children in care. All furniture was found in good repair, clean and without hazards. LPA observed a functioning smoke/carbon monoxide detector in this room. LPA observed 1 diaper changing table and 1 sink in this room. Children sleep on cots in this room. Children use the bathroom located in the hallway. Bathroom includes 1 toilet, 1 potty training chair, and 1 sink. Bedroom 1 is used for napping. LPA observed 1 crib in this room. Cribs are kept free from all loose articles and objects while infants are sleeping, and there are no objects hanging above or attached to the crib or play yard. Infants are not swaddled while in care. LPA informed Licensee of physical checks on sleeping infants every fifteen minutes to document any signs of distress, which includes but is not limited to: flushed skin color, increase in body temperature, restlessness and labored breathing. Infants can be visually observed through an open door if sleeping in a separate room. Infants up to 12 months of age are placed on their backs for sleeping. LPA informed licensee that Individual
